As the 2008 presidential election both speeds up and boils over, the celebrated improv satirists of Whirled News Tonight turn their crosshairs on the entire process. Combining original scripted material with interactive video, this show takes dark aim at the Democrats, the Republicans, polling agencies, vice-presidential candidates, campaign managers, racially-biased casting, and every thing else under the Sauron created sun.
For the past five years, Whirled News Tonight has spontaneously created hilarious and biting satire every weekend at the iO Theater. With this “target-rich” election WNT could not be contained to just Saturday nights! This scripted show was created in collaboration with the improvisers of the Saturday show with original material created specifically for it.
